创作介绍：

萨戈棕榈树被梅拉瑙人亲切地称为“生命之树”。Sago一词起源于爪哇语，意思是含有淀粉的棕榈髓。棕榈在开花前被砍伐，然后将原木切成75–90厘米的原木段，连接成木筏，沿着河流漂浮到一家工厂，加工成淀粉（如图所示）。

Description of Entry:

Sago Palm is fondly dubbed the “Tree of Life” by the Melanau. The word "sago" is originated from Javanese, meaning starch-containing palm pith. Palms are cut down before flowering, then cut into 75–90cm logs, tied up into rafts. The rafts float along the river to a factory, where they are processed into starch (as shown in the photo).
